Textbook Reading Questions

 1) Describe the debate over the nature of government. Compare the viewpoints of
Jefferson vs Hamilton.
Hamilton believed that the government should have all the power in the America's while-as Jefferson was against this political idea. He wanted people to be able to take some decisions in the America's. They had political divisions, each believed in different things. Hamilton was more of a federalist, he raised some taxes however it was for for America's own good. George Washington often agreed with Hamilton instead of Jefferson. Jefferson then resigned as Secretary State. Hamilton was for paying back money they owed, in my opinion I think it is a very good idea because it was leading America to be totally free of every money they owed. Hamilton knew how to make bother colonies happy by making an agreement with them.
2) What is a political party?
A political party is a group of people who seek to win elections and hold public office in order to control government policy and programs. In other words a group of people who try to win election by sharing their beliefs, more people means more ideas and people like us like the fact that those people can have the power to change more things.
3) Describe John Adams presidency. What were some of the difficulties he faced?
John Adams had some problems during his presidency, unlike George Washington he lacked many skills. He couldn't govern a young country. He faced the threat of war with France. During John Adams rule they had to pay to have the right to talk to the french minister. John Adams was lacking many presidential skills, of course the American's didn't vote for him in the second turn.
4) Outline the key events of Jeffersonʼs presidency.
Jefferson reduced the government, in other words he wanted to reduce the influence of the national government in the lives of the American people. Jefferson was the third president of the United States, he reduced taxes and reduced the military. He purchased Louisiana from France, this was a very good thing because they had more land. Having more land means you get richer especially if the land is fertile for growing crops. He also cut trade with foreign countries, only for the good of the America's because they had enough damage done for the moment.

Car bomb at India's Kabul embassy

A car bomb exploded in India, near the interior ministry office. About 17 people were killed and 60 people injured, thus it caused a lot of damage. People say that it was a suicidal attack, and people could see smoke rising above the area were this happened. Kabul attacks became frequent, and people get scared of those attacks, thus people no longer feel safe in Kabul. An assumption that was made is that this attack was aimed against the embassy. This assumption was made because the driver drove the car up to the outer wall of the embassy. To conclude some problems that have to do with bombs and attacks are getting frequent in Kabul.

Constitution and bill of rights

First the president, I think this idea completely revolutioned everything. The president was chosen by normal people so people had their own way of saying what they thought. Also they could hear the presidents motives, unlike before they didn't had the right to say anything about what the overnemnt decided.

Second I think that the seperation of bill powers was one of the most important because no one had more power over the government which made things more equalized. They had authority and different ideas but they still couldn't finish or make their ideas public until the government agreed with them.

Third the Congress, even though people had some power the governemnt had the right to think by their own too. So by making the congress they could make descisions. However they had to make good descisions.

Fourth federal courts. Those were important because people could defend themselves then be judged on wether or not they are guilty or not. The federal court judges were chosen by the president himself.

Fifth federal and state powers. This system consisted in which power was shared among state and national authorities. This many people's voices counted.

Finally I would like to add that the revolution made many changes in which people were involved. Those changes were positive since know the America's had less problems.

Colonists

Colonists had their own beleives thus they wanted to do all that was in their power to stop the other's from keeping them from being free. Alot of the pople that lived during those times were against those rules and tried to change them, though induvidually they couldn't make much of a change. However in a larger group they could make more then a simple change. By revolutioning they found out that if they were in a larger group of people then the gorvernment would change, thus get angry. They rebelled and had what they wanted in the end because the power of people of a country is bigger then one can imagine. No one liked the taxes and no one wanted to be treated with disrespect. This lead to the rebellion of the people that the government couldn't dinish with.
